Bienvenidos a la clase de Español.

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.  I have been teaching for 19 years and this is my twelfths year teaching at St John.  I am blessed to be here and to be part of this caring and supportive school and community.

My classroom philosophy is to promote learning while having fun at the same time in a safe environment. I expect students to use Spanish to communicate  in class and to participate in activities. We work on building written and oral vocabulary until students feel confident to use the language in class.

I am excited to be here and to be able to engage students in fun language activities to strengthen their academic vocabulary as well as their conversational skills.  I use various strategies to ensure that all students are understanding and participating.  Key concepts are often taught through songs, games and sometimes skits.

I am looking forward to this new school year, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

¡Muchas gracias!
